Anniversary Day Date

2nd Anniversary

 

Brad and I have now officially been married for 2 whole years. As my previous post stated, we are loving our blessed lives together. We couldn't feel more love for/from one another then we do today. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary, similar to how we celebrated our first (which was real low key due to finances.) Because we have had a lot of recent things come up - house, moving etc. - we didn't want to have some big expensive date this year either. I'm a pretty practical person, it doesn't take too much to make me happy. Being that our actual anniversary was on Monday, we decided to make a day of celebration the Saturday prior. We began our morning by heading to the local home show. It's so fun to walk around and dream. Brad and I thoroughly enjoy activities like this. First of all, it's free. Second, there were a lot of RV's and Boats at the show. We are always more then thrilled to walk through RV's. Someday we hope to sell ours, and get a bumper pull. Something more convenient, for quicker hookup and spur of the moment trips. We don't need something quite as large as the one we purchased from our friends to live in while working in Alaska. Although it has been extremely convenient to have, we simply just want something a little smaller. I personally dream of a little vintage Shasta trailer (or other brand) to fix up according to our taste and needs. The must have's aren't much! AC, and a bed, and bathroom. Kitchen would be nice of course, but we don't need to much. When camping we mostly grill anyway. Brad is on board with my dream trailer, so it's just a matter of finding one. Well, and of course having a place to store it. But hopefully, if all goes as planned with our new house, we soon will have a half acre!

 

Anyways, we walked around the RV show for a few hours, and the home show. Priced some gravel for an RV parking spot at our new house, and sod. We even were able to talk to some companies about water softeners and filtration systems. As you can tell, we are overjoyed with the purchase of our new-construction home. We cannot wait to have it all settled, and keys in our hands. It's been a long time coming (this home buying process.)

 

Following the local home show, we looked online to see what movies were playing. We decided to catch a matinee together, before going out to dinner. We saw Need For Speed. It was so good. We are both glad we paid the money to see it in theaters. It was action packed. emotional, unpredictable, and thrilling. All good humor, and language as well. A good film in general. We definitely enjoyed the movie, and our afternoon spent together. Last year we went to the dinner theater. Meaning we saw a movie, and also ordered dinner from our theater seats. We miss the Moore Warren theater/IMAX. But the local foothills, 6 screen theater will have to do for us:)

 

After the movie, it was still daylight. We were both ready to eat, but I was somewhat surprised when Brad didn't get on the highway. We drove and drove, until I finally realized where he was taking me. He was taking me to drive by our new house! We had hoped the builders would have had the rock work completed on the front of the house, but it was completed. After that we finally headed to our dinner.

We chose to eat at The Prime Rib. It's a local restaurant, and we have heard raving reviews about their cuisine. Brad had been there a couple times with work functions - but I have not yet had the pleasure. We were seated within 20 minutes of our arrival. The menu looked phenomenal - I wanted to try everything! I settled for the Halibut and steak platter, and Brad got a Ribeye. We started our meal with Crab stuffed mushrooms smothered in cheesy goodness. It was absolutely divine. Not to mention, the cook had made one too many when we had submitted our order to our waitress, so she was able to bring one RIGHT OUT! So awesome. Our meal was fantastic, perfect way to celebrate our two fantastic years together.

 

Our night was capped off by a quick shopping trip to Wal-Mart and time spent at home watching some of our TV shows together. Like I mentioned previously, pretty low key, but perfect for the two of us.

 

I love my husband so very much, and cannot believe I got so lucky and blessed in this life to have such an amazing partner. Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband, best friend, & love of my life!
