We saw so many swans through Canada!
Decoy cop car, placed to slow down traffic through Destruction Bay!
We also so plenty of wild horses!
We finally arrived to Whitehorse, fueled and found an RV park. OUR FIRST RV PARK ADVENTURE. First of all, we found out there was electric, but no water hookups. We thought, no big deal, we have our hold tanks full! We could also dump our hold tanks in the morning as well! The lady (who seemed to have no idea what was going on) assigned us a spot, and promptly told us we could drive BACKWARDS to our assigned spot. Because there was a lot of vacant spaces we asked for a place we could leave the truck hooked up overnight. This lady was ridiculous. So we went to park and chose to follow the appropriate direction of traffic. When we arrived to our assigned spot, we observed that there was no way our trailer alone would fit in the spot. We chose to move over to the one next to it, and tracked down an employee who mentioned he would let front office know. After about a half hour of set up, our power still was not turned on. Since the truck was hooked up, we grabbed some coats to walk down to the office. One the walk, it started raining! JUST OUR LUCK! But we trudged on. We got to the office, rang the bell and the lady (who knew little) came back. We mentioned we had to switch spots, she looked confused and changed our spot. Not offering to give us a ride back up in the golf cart, we walked back to the trailer - huffing and puffing the way up the hill.
It really was a real cute site! We would love to go back! That evening we enjoyed oven pizza, and a movie before retiring for the night:)
Couldn't help but take a self-photo before our long drive the next morning!
What an adventure!
