Road Trip - Sign Post Forest

We decided it was time to stop for a restroom break near Canada's sign post forest! What a perfect place to walk around, and stretch our legs. The sign post forest is amazing. People have brought city signs, family signs, license plates, and street signs to display. It was so fun to hunt around and find the places we had been. It was common that we found family signs made for "NORTH TO ALASKA" family adventures. It was so much fun running around and finding names we know, and places we recognized. The sign post forest is huge. We easily killed 45 minutes just walking around and enjoying what others from around the world have set-up.

After returning to the truck, we both agreed that it was a little too public to be fueling, so we decided to drive down the road a ways and find a more secluded area to fuel. We made it about 10 miles out of town before finding a sufficient pull off. This time though, the trucks low-fuel light and signal was going off. So we knew we were cutting it close. Brad got out of the truck, and walks around to fuel and realizes there is a major problem. On the handle on the filler gun was broken. So here Brad was - outside - running around trying to figure out how to fix it with the limited tools he had in the trailer tool box. I was so nervous, and starting to get very upset that he wasn't communicating the issue at hand. For all I knew we were stranded in Canada - and didn’t even pull off at a place that had cell reception anyway - and couldn't fuel - pulling our Trailer. Oh joy. Brad then called to me, and the two of us working together were able to get the handle back on with ease. Had he asked for my help sooner, I would not have sat in the truck, worried sick, listening to the beep go off saying we were out of fuel!  This would not the first issues we have with our tank this trip, so stay tuned for the next fuel tank adventures.
