We arrived to Liard Hot Springs anxious! It had been a long day of driving, and we were excited to take a couple days off, and relax in the Hot Springs. We have driven by Liard Provincial Park many times, but haven't had time to stop in and enjoy the springs. So this trip - being that it was our extended honeymoon - we weren't going to miss our opportunity to relax finally, and enjoy. Once we arrived, we bought a bundle of wood, took out some meat to thaw, go the trailer all set up, and headed out for a walk! We really wanted to get a layout of the terrain so we knew what was in store for us during our two-night stay.
There was natural beautiful falls. It smelt a little bit, but that wasn't going to stop us from going to the top, and enjoying the beauty Canada has to offer.
I never pass up a chance the act childish, and dance amongst the leaves. Fall is my favorite season! Not only is the one of the most beautiful times of year, with the colors so vibrant and gorgeous, but it's also so fun! The crisp evening weather, and the wonderful smells! Mmmm:)
The pools were beautiful as well. They were built in three levels. Looking this way (pictured above) is where it go cooler.
The pools were actually under construction while we were visiting. The workers were literally in swimsuits so they could be in the water. They were building a new entry point, dressing room, and relaxation seat. When it is complete, it will be absolutely enjoyable. But for now, we just sat in the water, and enjoyed the saws, hammers, and workers chatter!
Our spot was awesome. It was somewhat secluded, quiet, and large. We had room for our bbq, and camping chairs around the fire pit. Only thing that would have made this experiences more enjoyable? If I hadn't forgotten Graham Crackers, Marshmellows, and Hershey's Chocolate for s'mores!
After our two day stay - a scare of a nasty snow storm (that turned out to just be wind and rain) We were sad to pack it up and leave. Because we had let out all our slides for the couple night stay, all the slides now had leaves on top - inside the trailer. We would have a mess to clean up when we arrived back in the states.
Now off through the Canadian Rockies!
