troubles - everyone's got them . . .

Everyone has a list of things that unintentionally go wrong. For us, most recently, it has piled on. Yet, I feel like we have really good attitudes and still feel very blessed regardless of our obstacles. I will be begin by listing our current struggles, and where we stand.

1. No one anticipated that we would miss Alaska this much. Once we have finally settled in, and had our fair share of disappointments, we find ourselves wondering - why are we still down here. Although, we do know there are a few things we need to do. We both need to get our health (doctors visits) and dental exams in order. We also have several things to do to care for my mother in laws house. The list goes on and on. But everyday, still, we miss Alaska.

2. We attempted to buy a house. Through the process we learned a great deal about our past, and our future. Going through the process was worthwhile, because we now know how much Brad's ex-wife really screwed him over in their divorce. Luckily, his credit isn't as bad as originally thought, but other things arose that we had no idea effected him. Also, we learned about what we desire, and need for our future home. Although this house seemed perfect for us at this time, it must not be the house we need or want right now. I always had the attitude, "If it's meant to be, it will be." It obviously wasn't meant to be. We found some things also in the inspection that were of concern, so when things didn't really work out how we had planned, we were again feeling fortunate, blessed, and a little relieved.

3. With the townhouse all but paid off, Brad and I are really free to pursue any adventure at this point. We have so much we want to do together in this life, and we finally are ahead in finances to be able to start enjoying married life together again. Simple things, like date nights, little weekend getaways, and experiencing new things together. We learn more and more about each other everyday.

5. Recently I found myself wallowing in self pity. All of my friends, and even my siblings are having little blessings added to their families. Brad and I recently thought maybe we should consider trying, or thinking about being ready to have children. Little did we know it would be more difficult that originally thought. We now will be seeking some medical advice to find out what is going on. (more to come on this later). Although I am so happy all those around me are adding to their families and are overwhelmed with joy and happiness, I can't help but feel a pang of sadness and unrest. I know everyone has their own plan, and their own blessings, and we are prayerful the Lord will bless our family as well with that which is meant to be, but it doesn't help to see all those around me enjoying a blessing we so badly want. Really puts our lives into perspective. We do love each and every one of our friends and family members that's expecting, but we also can't help but feel a little jealous. We pray though that we will be able to cope, and continue to be grateful for our many other blessings in the mean time. Everything happens for a reason, but somethings just don't seem fair. We will get through this. We have each other, our parents and loving family and friends, our Heavenly Father who continues to hear our aches and pains and relieves our despaired hearts. As we seek answers, we have gained more faith now, then ever before.

The list could go on...But these are just a few of our obstacles currently. We have love for one another, and in Christ. We both know we are blessed with many blessings:) We learn, and Grow each and everyday!
