New dishes

A few weeks ago we were sitting around the dinner table with my mother in law and sister in law, talking about kohl's. Instantly my mother in law states, "I almost forgot to show you!!!" She proceeds to the living room where she picked up the current kohl's ad, and shows me the dishes they have on sale. She mentioned she was going to go buy some for us but didn't know if we would like the pattern. You see, brad and I have been looking for dishes we really like. Something durable, modern, match our kitchens red theme, but not young looking-more of a rich sense. We have stumbled across few, but every time it will only be a place setting of four, and the stores last one. Must not be, meant to be, we always thought.

We decided to go and look at these dishes from the ad. Not to mention, for every set of four you bought, they were giving four free fruit bowls. Which are about $6.99 a piece. We fell in love with these rich colors on phaltzgraff plates! We had to have them. It just so happened that they had two unopened sets of four, and 8 fruit bowls in good condition left:) it had to be-meant to be!!! So we picked up the two boxes and stored them in a corner of our dining room for a couple weeks. 

The theory of storing them was we had intentions of purchasing a house August 30th, & we didnt want to move and wash new dishes twice! not to mention the new house was going to have a dishwasher, where our townhouse does not.  The new house fell through so after pouting for two weeks, I decided it was time to open, and wash the new dishes! I cannot wait to use them!

The new dishes are all washed, and ready to be put away and & used!!!
