The Rehearsal

 The Friday night prior to the wedding, we thought that it would be fitting to maybe do a little rehearsal before getting to the big day. It's a day good thing we did, because none of knew in what order the bridal party enters, and what songs were to be sung when. It was a good opportunity to work out a lot of kinks and find out just how we were going to pull this wedding off. Because I personally have only attended like 2 civil weddings, I didn't really know what to expect, but the rehearsal kind of offered piece of mind, and allowed us to relax a little while knowing just what to expect.

We started the rehearsal with about 4 run through's to understand timing with music, and to make sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be - when.

 After making sure everything was decided, my brothers Curt and Adam helped get dinner served in the kitchen. We had a potato bar, roast, jello salad, and lots and lots of pie! It was delicious, and it's all accredited to my families hard work. We were so hungry by that time, the kids were definitely ready to eat. During dinner brad and I handed out some gifts to our bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, and to the ring bearer. It was pretty chaotic so it was hard to get everyone's attention so it really just turned into us handing them their gift and them opening it on their own. Brad and I hadn't thought about wrapping paper, so we used some tissue paper, and some packing tape to wrap most of the gifts prior to the rehearsal. With a little teamwork, and putting our heads together, we knew that everything wasn't going to be perfect, but together, we would make it work:) The night was a success, and we were able to leave the gym and my family around 10pm to go work on a wedding playlist. My family arrived back at the cabin around 1am, saying that mostly everything at the gym was done. We then stayed up till nearly four in the morning talking, sorting out boutineers, and corsages,  and really just spend time as a family before the big wedding day!
